3,000 Financial Planners needed
According to Griffith University, Australia needs an additional 3,000 financial planners over the next 12 months to cope with the growing financial advice needs of Australians. Part of this growth is due to the increasing numbers of baby boomers needing financial advice as they head towards retirement.
With the practicing accountant seen as a trusted financial adviser by the community, this is a great area of practice for accountants to move into (or further develop).
BankLink enhancements
Most accounting practices understand that managing their wide range of small business clients, from those recording simple cash-based transactions through to others with an invoicing and debtors requirement can be quite a task. There is often a wide skill gap within the client base that requires a lot of attention from practices in order to coax the SME into producing results that are presented professionally for their business and can be processed with a minimum of fuss by their accountant.
BankLink InvoicePlus is a simple to use solution that allows small business clients to focus just on the invoicing, receipting and debtors management, with the debtors balance being entered into the BankLink Practice system used by their accountant .
Over 3,500 practices now use the BankLink system to automate data entry, coding and reporting for their small business and SMSF clients. MYOB Accountants Resourcing uses BankLink Practice to automate data entry when processing transactions on behalf of accounting practices. BankLink InvoicePlus and BankLink Practice are not MYOB products and this information is provided for practices wanting to look more closely at managing the invoicing, receipting and debtors process with their clients.
